Sudden Death of Daniel Wilkinson - Keeled Over at His Home While Giving Election Returns
The death of Mr. Daniel Wilkinson occurred with tragic suddenness at his home, corner of John and Elliott streets, about 8:30 Monday evening...
     Mr. Wilkinson was the son of the late Francis and Isabella Wilkinson and was born on a farm on Talbot street east. He was in his 74th year and had retired from the activities of life, his wife having predeceased him four years ago...
     Three sons and five daughters survive, namely, Forest and Archie, of Los Angeles, Cal., R. J. Wilkinson, Detroit; Mrs. Harry Bell and Mrs. Nelson Evans, Leamington; Mrs. Lulu Coutts, Toledo, O.; Mrs. Irene Foster, Calgary, Alberta, and Miss Hazel Wilkinson, of New York City. Mr. Robert Wilkinson, Mill street east; Roy Wilkinson, Walkerville, and Leonard Wilkinson, Toledo, O., are brothers, and Mrs. McCartney, of the Lakeshore, is a sister.
     The funeral service will be held at deceased's late residence on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, interment following at Lakeview cemetery, with Masonic honors.

Obituary, Leamington Post, 02 January 1919:
Robert Wilkinson - Mr. Robert Wilkinson, one of our oldest and most respected residents passed away early New Year's morning at his home, Mill street east, in his 80th year. He had been ailing for a year or more from kidney and heart trouble, and became worse about ten days ago, but the condition was not considered critical?. He was the oldest son of the late Francis Wilkinson, one of the ?? in the county. He was precdeceased by his wife ?? and he is survived by five sons, Edwin, in Alaska; Milton and Manley, of Winnipeg; Kemp, who recently returned from overseas and now of South Junction, Minn; William, of California, and Clyde, of Vancouver; also three daughters, Mrs. Edward Smith, Talbot street west, and Misses Belle and Louise, at home. The funeral service will be held at deceased's late home on Monday afternoon.
