Obituary, Leamington Post, 13 July 1911:
Wilfred Wilkinson, son of Capt. Lewis Wilkinson, who has been suffering for the past year with cancer of the bone, died on Tuesday morning and was interred at Lakeview yesterday afternoon. The deceased, who was only about seventeen years of age, visited the hospitals at Toronto and Detroit, but no hope was held out for complete recovery. Removal of the affected leg might have prolonged life for a short time, but the end could only have been delayed by a few weeks at most, while the removal would have endangered his life. The whole community deeply sympathizes with the afflicted family.
