OBIT: Hiram Hickmott, 92, died at his residence last Wednesday following a lengthy illness. Mr. Hickmott was born in Gosfield South, son of the late Samuel and Katharine Hickmott. He was a retired farmer and had lived in this District all his life, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Ina (Meloche); 5 sons, Sam, William, Lewis and Donald all of Kingsville; Albert of Mission City B.C.; 2 daughters Mrs. George (May) Springay of New Westminster B.C. and Mrs. Larry (Elsie) Drake of Plymouth MI; 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 brother Edward Hickmott of Cottam. Funeral services were held at the John B. Ferguson Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon. Rev. Harold Cracknell officiating. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery.
