Monument, Augustine Cemetery, Kingsville, Essex Co., ON:
The Cascadden family of Scottish origin, came to Canada in 1810,
via Ireland and Pennsylvania. William Henry Cascadden,
head of the family, was a veteran of the war of 1812, and
participated in the battle of Lundy's Lane. His sons Alexander
and David came to Gosfield about 1830 and married two of
Abel Augustine's daughters.

Veteran of the Essex militia, 1837-38 rebellion.
