(from unidentified newspaper clipping:)
"We are very much grieved to report the death of Casper Rose, who passed away Wednesday afternoon at his home in this township, in the 60th year of his age. He had been poorly for some little time with stomach trouble, but was taken down four weeks ago with acute cancer and was a great sufferer from that time till death released him. The funeral has been arranged for to-morrow (Saturday) afternoon. Services will be conducted in Malden Methodist church at 2:00, followed by interment in Erie cemetery. Mr. Rose was a native of Ecorse, a son of the late Moses Rose. The family moved to Colchester over half a century ago, and he is the last of the second generation. He married in Colchester South Miss Barbara McLean, daughter of the late Robert McLean, and they came to Malden thirteen years ago. Surviving him besides his widow are the following children: Grace, Mrs. Merrill Deneau, Ford City; Ada, Mrs. George White, Colchester South; Wilfred, Malden; Glen and Moses of Detroit, and Allan, at home, to all of whom sincere sympathy is extended."
