from Violet Grant:
Gordon and Mae lived in or near Colchester Village for a number of years after they were married, then moved to Detroit where he worked as a carpenter for a long time. They came back to Canada in the 1940's, living for awhile in Essex and then in Colcheter Village for the rest of their lives.
Mae was very hard of hearing as the result of scarlet fever when she was young. She was a good dressmaker and did beautiful crochet work.
