     Joseph Malott, his grandfather, the eldest son of Peter Malott the settler, was born on Grosse Ile Aug. 11, 1792. He married Aug. 10, 1813, Mary McKinzie, who was born Sept. 28, 1792, and died April 16, 1854... His children were as follows: ... William, father of our subject, was born Sept. 17, 1822...
