     Joseph Quick was born in Kentucky, about one mile from Cininnati, Ohio... He followed his parents to Canada, and after his father's death he carried on the clearing of the farm and homestead, a tract of 200 acres in Lot 8, given his father by the government as a reward for his loyalty... Joseph Quick died of typhoid fever, at a ripe old age, passing away Aug. 29, 1845, aged seventy-six. In Gosfield South, County of Essex, he married Susanna Munger. She bore her husband twelve children, all but one of whom were living at the time of their mother's death, Jan. 16, 1849...
