Katie was the daughter of Samuel Turner and Rebecca Glassford, of Kent county, Ontario (Harwich and Charham townships respectively).
Neil and Katie settled in South Detroit where they lived until Jan 1901 when they went to Old Mexico where Neil took charge of his brother-in-law, George Turner's, jewelry business.
