Nesbitt, Naisbet Author: Myrna McGhie Date: 22 Dec 2000.
...My 3rd g. grandparents were John Taylor and Sarah Nesbitt. They were married in Norton, Durham, England...
John and Sarah died Lac-Beauport, Quebec, Canada. They had three children that I know of, Moses, Samuel and John. Moses was my 2nd great grandfather, married to Elizabeth Gosnold/Gosnell.
There were three younger Taylor households in the vicinity of Moses Taylor in the 1871 Ontario Census, headed by: Samuel (age 30, born Quebec), John Taylor (age 31, born Quebec), and William Taylor (age 30, born Quebec). Additional research shows that these were three probable nephews of Moses Taylor.

Thomas Nesbitt Author: Myrna McGhie Date: 2 Apr 2003.
... John and Sarah (Nesbitt) Taylor...were married 15 Dec 1793 in Norton, Durham, England. John was of Irish descent and probably born in Ireland.
...John was born 22 June 1777, so I am guessing Sarah was born sometime between 1770/1780. Both died in Lac-Beauport, Quebec, sometime before 1861.
John and Sarah had four children that I know of:
John (b. 17 Nov 1805) in England and died in Singhampton, Nottasawaga Twp., Ontario.
Samuel (b. 1809) in Quebec. There was no information on him.
Moses (b. 8 Mar 1819) in Quebec and died in Nottasawaga, Twp. SC, Ontario and is buried in Union Cemetery, Singhampton, Nottasawaga Twp., Simco Co., Ontario with his wife (Elizabeth "Gosnell" Taylor) at the Union Cemetery in Singhampton. Moses and Elizabeth were my 2nd great grandparents.
Joseph (b. Unknown) in Quebec or Ontario. I haven't found anything more on him.
