...In the year 1715 he [Robert] went to Nenagh where he made his permanent home...He acquired property, built a large house, and married Mary Glass who was very young at the time. Family historians inform us that Robert and Mary had seventeen children. [Only the first five listed here are known for sure, four more are suspected to be part of the same family...]
Robert is grand-patriarch of nearly all the large clans of Hodgins in Canada [which makes Mary the grand-matriarch].
