The late William Tape ... married Catherine Lee, the eldest daughter of John and Sarah (Sheban) Lee, of an old pioneer family of Orford township. Mrs. Tape was born in County Cork, Ireland, where she received a liberal education, and was a woman of more than usual intelligence, a great reader and a good conversationalist. She came with her parents to Canada in 1841. They settled in Orford township on the home now owned by their son, John Lee, M.P.P. for East Kent, Ontario.

Lawrence B Gosnell was born 6 Sep 1832 and grew up on his fathers farm Lot 17/18 Ridge road Orford township. He married Sarah Lee on 6 Feb 1856 in Orford township ... Lawrence's wife Sarah Lee was born in County Cork Ireland on 28 December 1835. She was the daughter of John and Sarah (Sheon) Lee of county Cork and they came to Orford township in 1841, taking up 100 acres, now owned and operated by their son John Lee M.P.P. The elder John Lee was a farmer all his life and died on 8 January 1867, age 64 years, The mother survived until 29 Mar 1891 when she died aged 84 years. They were interred in the family cemetery. The Lees were very prominent in the Methodist Church. Born to John and Sarah Lee were Catherine Lee; George Lee who died at the age of 2 years; Sarah Lee Mrs Gosnell; Ann Lee who married Lawrence Tape and is deceased; the Hon John Lee M.P.P. a farmer on the old homestead and : Louisa Lee who married William Attridge a farmer of Highgate.
