Charles C. Scane, son of John and Elizabeth Scane... purchased a farm in the 8th Concession of Howard township and there he followed farming for twelve years. In June, 1862, he married Amanda Stover, the estimable daughter of Reuben and Sarah (Delaney) Stover... Of the ten children born to Mr. and Mrs. Scane four are living...(3) Harry, born in 1870, was educated in Chatham, and now resides in Haldiman County where he is engaged in business; he married Miss Bertha Wildurmuth, of Kalan..., Michigan, and their children are, Adda, ...bert, Dora and Charles E.
