William Moorhouse Family
William Moorhouse (1805-1889) was 18 years old when his parents came to Canada. Rev. Mark Brigham married William and Catherine Pearce (1809-1850), daughter of John and Frances Pearce of Dunwich Township, Elgin County, in 1830. William and Catherine settled in the woods on the present homestead where William built a log cabin, later replaced by a brick home... William and Catherine had nine children...
Robert (1840-1918) married Louisa Sage Culham (1849-1938) and farmed Lot 25, Con. 5 where they raised a large family.
