Joseph Moorhouse Family
Joseph Moorhouse (1807-1851) had two military commissions of Captain in the Kent Militia of 1839, retaining his commission until his death. He was married to Mary Backus (1818-1887) and they lived at Lot 26, Con. 5. They had four children.
Walter Hoare Moorhouse (1842-1922) was a teacher at Shetland and Cairo... His sister, Anna, married Alexander Graham, M.D...

Joseph Graham Family
Alexander Graham (1842-1903), the second of Joseph's 11 children, was born in Euphemia Township. He married Annie Moorhouse in 1869. It is not known where he got his medical degree, but he practised medicine in Bothwell and Newbury. He died in London and is buried in Shetland Cemetery. Two of his children lived to maturity. Clara Graham married William H. Smith, and Walter Graham married Chrystine Hume.
