Joseph Moorhouse Family
Joseph Moorhouse (1807-1851) had two military commissions of Captain in the Kent Militia of 1839, retaining his commission until his death. He was married to Mary Backus (1818-1887) and they lived at Lot 26, Con. 5. They had four children.
Walter Hoare Moorhouse (1842-1922) was a teacher at Shetland and Cairo... There were two more sons, Thomas Henry and Joseph Hopkins.
