William Dobbyn Family
William Dobbyn (1824-1917) married Francenna Davis (1833-1855), and then Ellen Gosnell (1840-1915) in 1857. He farmed on Lot 25, Con. 3... The original house burned in 1948.
... William and Ellen (Gosnell) had seven children: Anne, Laura, Elizabeth, Sarah, Joseph, Harriet and Franklin.
... Joseph Henry Dobbyn (1863-1953) married Elizabeth Moorhouse (1872-1953), daughter of Edward Charles and Margaret (Price) Moorhouse, and they farmed Lot 25, Con. 3 and had 10 children.
Letty Aileen Dobbyn (1891-1914) was single. Derwood Garfield Dobbyn (1893-1966) married Mabel Florence Hillman and they moved to Michigan. Olive Mae Dobbyn (1896-1970) married Harry Edson Miller and moved to Niagara Falls. Carrie Bonetta Dobbyn (1899) married Joseph William Vosburg and they moved to Windsor. Harold Lloyd Clinton Dobbyn (1902-1982) married Grace Irene Pratt. Joseph Franklin Dobbyn (1903-1904) died in infancy. Aubrey Reginald (1906-1977) married Mary Georgina Elliot in 1930 and moved to Inwood. William Leonard Dobbyn (1909) married Grace Alice Forshee and they moved to Windsor and later Detroit. Edward Lyle Dobbyn (1909-1950) married Helena Wallis and they moved to Windsor. Mary Maxine Dobbyn (1911-1979) married Glenn Northcott; they lived in Michigan, then moved to Florida.
