At high noon on Tues. Dec. 28th, a quiet but pretty event took place in the vestry of Park Street United Church in the presence of the immediate families, when Amy Mildred Scarlett, daughter of Mrs. A. Scarlett and the late Lorne H. Scarlett, of Florence, became the bride of Mr. Howard Edwin Richardson, B.S.S., of Wheatley, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. U. Richardson, of Walkerton, Ont. The marriage service was performed by Rev. George W. Henderson, D.D...After the ceremony, the wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. McEachran...Mr. and Mrs. Richardson will take up residence in Wheatley.

Loren H. Scarlett Family
Loren H. Scarlett (1863-1933) was born near Ridgetown and moved to Florence where he was a painter and decorator. Loren married Agnes Laird (1870-1952)... The couple had five children.
... Mildred (1906-1996) married Edwin Richardson. He taught at Florence Continuation School and boarded with the Scarletts. When the school closed they moved to Wheatley and then Leamington. Their children were James and Jean. Jean is a high school teacher in Kitchener.
