From her only son, William Bury, through his ten children, came a line that has increased the population on both sides of the St. Clair river, extending to Ohio and Oklahoma in the U.S. and to the far western provinces of Canada.
... The second son, Thomas, married Lucinda Roberts of Sombra, and Bury's in Sarnia and Windsor, Hollands at Marine City and Youngs of Brantford stem from him...

Captain Thomas Bury
Captain Thomas Bury, three-hundred-pound second son of the Sombra pioneer, William Bury, operated one of the earliest fuel docks in the Sombra locality...Captain Tom was the owner and captain of the John Dold, early passenger craft plying the St. Clair. Captain Bury's wife was Lucinda Jane Roberts of another pioneer Sombra family.
