Never married. She became a lawyer who lived in or near Toronto and retired to Bowmanville, Ontario.

Her birth date wrong here, it should be 1892. In the 1921 census she is 28, a secretary (although a lawyer by then) still living in Toronto with her mother and aunt.

HODGINS
Died peacefully at Strathaven Nursing Home, Bowmanville, on December 21, 1983, Apha I. Hodgins of Bowmanville and formerly of Lucan, in her 92nd year. Beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Sarah Hodgins. Survived by cousins Margaret (Fairles) King of of Kitchener and Vivian (Fairles) Irvin of London, as well as children of the late Thomas A. Hodgins of Lucan and Dr. J. E. Ichinbein of Prince Rupert, B.C. Miss Hodgins graduated from Lucan High School and the University of Toronto. She was called to the bar in 1919 and was the first woman to receive highest marks in Commercial Law and the Bicknell Prize. Funeral service was held at the Morris Funeral Home, Bowmanville, on December 23. Cremation. Interment in St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.
