Leamington Post, 18 March 1915:
A quiet but pretty wedding took place in the Mersea Methodist parsonage on St. Patrick's day, March 17th, when Rev. S. Salton united in the holy bonds of matrimony Mr. Gordon Wilkinson, eldest son Mr. W. K. Wilkinson of Mersea, and Neta Pearl, eldest daughter of Mr. Gordon Reid, of Mersea township.
